Our marrow bones are cut lengthwise exposing the marrow. This is also referred to as canoe style or the canoe cut. When cooking them, make sure to cook them cut side up. Bone marrow contains important nutrients such as collagen and B vitamins that many people lack in their diet that are beneficial for skin health, brain health, blood sugar, immunity and stem cell formation. It is also rich in glucosamine, which helps against osteoarthritis, relieves joint pain, and reduces inflammation in the joints. After cooking, it can be scoop out and spread on a piece of toast, or directly onto your steak.
