Rump is a great everyday steak, cut from the hind quarter and is known as the pub favourite. It can also be used in stews and stir fries when thinly sliced and is great for marinating. Those who value flavour above all else tend to choose rump. So even though rump steak won’t be quite as tender as the fillet steaks, it will more than make up for it with a deep, savoury flavour.
